Online Counselling

Working online gives us the opportunity to work remotely when circumstances mean that meeting in person is not possible or right for you. It is important to mention that having a good internet connection is vital for working online, as well as having a place to work where you won’t be interrupted or intruded upon.

Working online can take a few different forms:

Online/video: This type of online counselling takes a similar form to a Skype or Facetime call. Rather than using social media apps or websites for online counselling, I use a secure website to ensure your privacy while you are sharing your innermost thoughts and feelings. It’s really easy to use: all you have to do is follow the link to the website that I give you. You don’t need to download anything or sign-up to anything. Just turn up at the time of your session and leave the rest to me.

Instant messaging: Sometimes writing things down is easier than saying it out loud. Instant messaging allow us to talk in real-time and develop the same kind of therapeutic relationship we might if we were in-person. This takes place through a secure website to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.

Email counselling: Email counselling can take different formats depending on what suits you best. Please follow this link for more information about email counselling.

Online counselling and instant messaging are offered at the same rate as in-person sessions, while email counselling can be tailored to your individual needs.
