In light of the measures we are all being encouraged to take to slow the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19, I have made some changes to the way that I am working.
Firstly, I am suspending all in-person counselling and supervision sessions for the foreseeable future. This is partly due to the advice and restrictions around social distancing, and partly because I have been advised to self-isolate due to having a chronic health condition.
I will instead be running telephone counselling sessions and online/video counselling sessions. I know that this will not be suitable or comfortable for everyone and also I understand this will mean some of my existing clients will be forced to take a break from working with me, or have to look for therapy with another provider. I am getting in touch with everyone I am currently working with as soon as possible to discuss this.
I am still taking on new clients, with the understanding that we will only be able to work remotely by telephone and online/video for the foreseeable future.
I will be keeping an eye on the latest advice and make changes to my way of working accordingly as time goes on.
Most of all, it is so important that we keep ourselves and those around us safe if we can at all help it.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like any further information: I’m happy to help.
Take care and stay safe!
